About MeAs a science and social science teacher, I hope to create opportunities for students to experience the wonder and excitement that comes from looking at the world in a new way. My goal is to help students develop skills that will open doors in their lives ahead. My own science studies have afforded me the opportunity to burn prairies in Michigan, tramp through Alaska’s North Slope, venture through the rain forests of Nicaragua, build two story tall compost piles, advocate for policies to support community gardens, collaborate with Ugandan farmers, research new vegetable varieties, and to find my passion for teaching.
